I miss Philippines

I miss Philippines a lot. From friends to family gatherings, to new malls and places to go. I miss everything...except for excessive corruption. I hope this coming election the masses will vote wisely and vote someone who can bring about change in the country. I pray that vote cheaters be caught and punished ever so severely. I pray that charter change will not push through and have GMA rule longer. I pray that this moment will come. I will wait for it.

Year End

Im taking a week vacation from work. That means, I wont see our "pambansang bayani" and "wally", the nicknames of our obsessive compulsive bosses, christened by zany co-workers of mine. Yey!
~
I can feel the spirit of christmas this year although we've spent our Christmas at our store. Yes! We were open on Christmas day. This is the only season our sales pick-up. We wouldn't want to miss this opportunity to earn big bucks^___^
~
While watching the late night "Bandila", I was surprised to see we were on the news. The bread store beside us were selling fruitcakes, but they're not selling like pancakes, tradition wise. Wines were. I was estatic to see our wines on TV. Although its just a swift 15 sec news about us. The footage was shown again the next day on TV Patrol. This time, approx 5 secs longer^__^ . Ooh I wish I was there.
~
Ooh. Krispy Kreme opened in Taguig just Nov 30. The lines were soooooooooooooooooooo long. Filipinos who lived in US for a long time would know what these doughnuts are even though they're more expensive than Gonuts donuts. Everybody's just crazy about it now. Best to buy them in the afternoon when the lines aren't that long.
~
I attended Hillsong concert last Nov 21. I had the worship time of my life. I enjoyed it. The last time I've been to a concert was Boyzone. But this concert is different. There are no screaming fangirls. Just plain worship to glorify our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ
~
At the end of September, Milenyo swept Metro Manila. Including our car. Well, almost. A big branch broke off the tree and fell incidentally on our car's windshield, which until now is still there. We havn't had the time to get it fixed. I got kinda excited at the though of having experienced the strong gust of wind, feeling it first hand...at the same time scared coz anything can happen. And after many years of inaccurate prediction, causing suppended classes on sunny weather, PAGASA was able to raise its flag and gave a precise prediction. Good job!

Disturbing

A few weeks ago, I was driving a car on the passenger seat. Driving down the road until I noticed there was a river. The car was running quite fast that it was too late for me to press the breaks and fell to the river. I thought I'm going to die then so I prayed to God and thank Him for my life. There was the darkness. Stillness. Silence. I was waiting for the light, waiting for heaven. Then I heard sounds, voices, noise. I opened my eyes and realize I just woke up from a very distrubing dream. It was my first time to dream something like it.

While reflecting on it, I realize why didn't I even bother to struggle or to swim out of the car? Instead, I just accepted it as it is. I was just in the car waiting for my time to come.

To answer my own question, I must be curious of what's there in the afterlife.

Work Rants

I'm starting to get tired of my work. I no longer enjoy my work as I did before. The boss2 is starting to get into my nerves. Just his mere presence at my table irates me a lot. He sits there watching what I am doing and all of the sudden "Hey! what are you doing? I want this, that. Do this. Do that. Is it possible to blah blah blah...?" when he doesnt even understand what I am trying to do. I am not yet even finished with what I am doing. Sheesh! And his OCness is killing me. Ahh! Someone save meee!
~
They have plans to transfer the designer's workstation near boss2's table! OH PULEEEEZ! I will be an underwater erupting volcano that can measure 7 at richter scale after a month or two. Not bad eh? Just seven...hehe. I am not too evil.
~
When I was starting, I was able to say to my co-worker that I enjoyed my work here. It was such a great feeling. I feel like playing then because he wasn't there..haha!

I’ve been working with an IT outsourcing company for several months already. At first I really enjoyed working there. I learned a lot of new tricks, a nice guy though me how and there’s a girl I could talk to. Now, the girl left, leaving me the only girl now for several months and counting. I am not comfortable talking with guys and I consciously have built a wall around me. The wall is getting higher and higher. My life is staring to get draggy.I want to demolish the wall but I simply can’t do it. I don’t know how to break it. Perhaps it needs a bulldozer from the outside to break it down.

Before I went to Canada last Sept 15, Faith and Ricky accompanied me to G4. I haven't have fun playing games at timezone for a very long time. It was a very memorable day for me. They made it special and I feel happy and blessed. I've spent a lot on food and games, thinking I won't have this much much fun in Canada for 3 or more months. It was worth it. Thank you guys!

Last Saturday, I went to Ongpin to shop with my dad for CCTV. We hopped from store to store, canvassing for a good quality and price for it. I feel good walking around Ongpin because it makes me feel very chinese...hehe. Then, we happened to enter my former CKSC classmate's store. I was kinda shocked coz I didn't recognized her at first (and I forgot her name...but did got to know her name later on). We chatted a little and my dad inquired a lot (about CCTV). After getting some information needed, we scouted to another CCTV store. I met another CKSC classmate again. I was kinda shock, again. Hehe. I was thinking, "Whoa, am I inside the CKSC compound?". This time, I remembered his (my classmate, Davidson) name. He was also the one who supplied me the name of the girl(Ellen) in the first store we last visited. It was nice meeting a fellow schoomate outside school whom I haven't seen for a long time. I feel so at home at Binondo because everywhere I go, I will surely meet and say "hi" to someone I know. It makes me feel friendly...hehe.
~
Just remembered something that happened last 2004. my best buddy Aiko happened to meet Jonnel in Makati while driving her Revo to pick me up. He was driving too, on his way to who knows what...hehe. On our way to Binondo to pick up some fresh breads, we happen to see Jonnel's van again on the street. Hehe. What a coincidence. Same day, same morning. Just an hour of difference from the first meeting.

I've been thinking of what good story to create that would be easy for me to do with 2 people, 1 place on a low budget (or none at all...hehe) but this is driving me nuts! Argh! My brain is sleeping....hard! It wont wake up no matter how hard I pound my head. Dammit. I've got to think of a good story before the deadline or else.... goodbye to my beautiful record of no failing grades.....sniff
~
Maybe the actors should be the last thing I should worry about because I could call on my friends or maybe just pick anyone from the streets...hehe. Oh well, I worried for nothing. Such a waste of time. I should have shifted my mind from worrying to creating a good story
~
After shooting my process video exercise, I realize shooting video is fun. Well, provided that you have good set of actors and actresses who are willing to act in front of the camera.~Last week, I've been doing nothing but watching Korean movies. Korean movies are great but I think I've overdone it. I watched too much Korean movies that I neglected my projects. Must work double time from this time onward.

Although today I don't have class, I went to school in order to attend the general assembly. So why did I attend? Because food is provided. Instead of staying home with no food on the ref and let my stomach grumble, I went to school. Hehe. That's all.

I miss Aiko already! Come home na!

I better update my blog.

We have discovered a cheaper way to communicate with my family and relatives in Canada. We don't have to make screwy international calls nor have to worry about our damn telephone bill when calling them to Canada. 2 weeks ago, Shirley arrived from Canada and had something for us from my brother. It's a DVG 1120 Broadband voice gateway. The only problem was....How the hell could we get it working!!!

(My sister and I) We looked for an AVR to plug in the 110v voice gateway or VoIP, set aside the necessary cables then we followed the instruction manual. But nothing happened from following the instruction manual. So, we tried other possible connections to make the status light, from blinking red, to steady green. But nothing, we couldn't just get it working. Frustrated, we didn't bother to make it work anymore and left it to dust.

2 weeks later, my brother called us from Canada and told us we better make it work coz he has been paying for the subscription fee already. He gave us a site and found out, there was an additional instructions to follow! hmp. (That's why we can't make it work coz we have to make some configurations.)

Finally, the status light turned green. Yippee! Only one problem left. The phone and the phone line. Where will we dial the phone number if the line is connected from the wall jack to the VoIP??? The three of us were arguing and shouting like crazy and we kept on repeating what my sis and I have said earlier because my bro didn't understood our situation. He just wasn't listening. If there's someone watching us, he/she'll definitely think we were angry or maybe, crazy, but actually, we're not. Finally, after fiery arguments and deafening shoutings with my lil bro, we finally got it!!! Yun pala, we need another cable to connect the phone to the VoIP. Sheesh! Hindi man lang sinabi. We weren't told about needing a new cable for that. But anyway, the fruit of our labor is sweet...heehee. We can talk to them as long as we want to without worrying expensive international phone calls. Because using this VoIP is like we are living in Canada. So it's Canada to Canada. Local Canadian rates apply.

Just thought of a slogan:

school days are over. Must find something productive to do this summer.
~
I was planning to study Japanese language this summer but my dad did not allow me. Well, I think he's right. I should finish what I've started before jumping to another thing. I've taken french lessons last year and spanish during my college days in cksc but I've only reached level 2. I guess I have to review my French before enrolling this coming May.
(coz I've completely forgotten them ^_^;;;;;)

Eating galore this afternoon! heehee. After eating ice monster, we looked for another food stall, and another, and another. We had tuna wrap (the taste isn't so special), thumbs up ice cream (taste ordinary too...magnolia lang yun e.), and Bizu (sarap ng chocolates nila!! kyaaa!!!) Sarap kumain!!! Mas lalo na pag libre!!!

Too many things to do by next week. I have to finish FREEDRAW, BASICAD, INTERDES, FOTOGRA within 2 weeks! ack!! Cram cram cram!!!

Last saturday, I had such a great time. We're supposed to attend a friend's bday party but since they started late, aiks and I decided to greet him happy birthday, leave the gift and left.

Feeling hungry, we ate first before we went home. First stop was Bizu. They had such tasty desserts that I've never eaten something like it. It was heavenly, but very expensive. :( If only they weren't that expensive, I could have ordered another piece. Not having enough, we entered another restaurant Banana leaf Curry. The food was good but it doesn't taste anything special plus expensive too.
~
Grabe. Even there were only 2 of us, we're so noisy. We were laughing most of the time. She has been out of the country for 10 days and now she's back loaded with lots of stories and bloopers straight from Japan. I just can't stop laughing at that time. She also brough me home some chocolates too. How I love those chocolates...yummy!
~
This one's the funniest! Teehee. An excerpt from "Mga Kwento Ni Aiko sa Japan."

An american missionary called the Japanese missionary couple in their house.

American Missionary: Hello, Mrs. ____ may I speak to your husband?
Japanese wife: Just a moment, I change my husband.

The wife didn't know what it meant until that day. She always say "I change my husband" for quite some time already, instead of saying "I'll call my husband."

lookie lookie dyeanne's work ------>
http://www.deviantart.com/view/5614017/ not just that link but look at all of her artworks!! It's worth your time (and your internet card). It just inspires me to practice and improve on my art skill so that I could reach that level. ü
Yay! Aiko's back. hehe üüü. At least my depression has subsided a little. Sad for the grades I've received this term. So low =(. I hope I can catch up in the finals and become a deans lister. Must work harder.

I just hate the COMORAL subject. It's an english speech subject and I am VERY VERY bad at it. I feel so nervous everytime I stand in front of people. If only they credited my speech subject in Chiang Kai, I don't have to feel this way again. I feel so stupid everytime I stand in front of many people, and give a stupid smile with matching stuttering speech. Argh!! I hate the thought of it.

But I guess, in a way, it may be good for me. It may help me improve myself, add confidence and who knows one day this girl would be the greatest speaker in the world...bwahahaha.
~
I'm feeling weird these past few weeks. I hate it. I can't think clearly.

Goodness, I have to go back to Quaipo for the 3rd time. So bothersome.

kyaaa.............The weather's getting hotter :(
~
Seems like my metabolism is getting faster. I easily get hungry nowadays. Must be the aloe vera product that i've been drinking.
~
Aiks still in Japan. Sigh.
~
That Pamela song is running through my head. So annoying yet I can't get the tune out of my mind.
~
Election's drawing closer and closer. I haven't registered yet. I'm still a minor (would you believe that :p) just kidding of course. But if given a chance to vote, I would vote for Lacson. An iron-fist ruler is what this country need. This country needs someone who can dicipline its citizens.

Today's News: Mwahahaha! Those swindlers deserve it! May you all rot in jail.
~
Just last year, those credit card swindlers visited our shop. They bought 30 bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue (market value = P 4500.00 per bottle) and dive computers that costs about 10,000-30,000 pesos using fraudulent credit cards. They also visited other dive shops around Makati and bought the same thing. I wasn't there to see how those f*cking bastards look like. My sister was there. There was something suspicious about them. We didn't have enough stock available in the store. We asked for their address so we could deliver it, but they refused. They prefer to pick it up in the store. My sister was already suspicious about them. They came back the next day to pick up the goods. Armed with digi cam, she took their pictures and their car's plate number. Unfortunately, she missed the face^_^;;; After a week, the bank called and informed us about the fraud.
~
Recently, they swindled P 80,000 worth of groceries in Rustan's. There they met their fate. mwahahahaha. I don't care whether they were or weren't the one who went to our store. We were victimized by these organized crimes and as victims, we are happy that justice is served.
~
In their many years in business, my parents have seen lots of different fraud techniques. Some will ask you to deliver the goods to one corner and collect the money in another corner. After leaving them to collect the money, they will run away with the goods. Some will confuse you with change. Some will pay in cheque that would later bounce.
There are really lots of technique. That's why my parents are very cautious when it comes to goods and money matters. If somebody near us was swindled, they would lecture and remind us right away about their experiences and recent swindling techniques. That's why, we are not easily fooled by anybody.

a chat between my achi (older sister) and my shoti (younger brother) about the fruit juicer. Shoti is in Canada for about a year already. This isn't the actual chat between them but it's more of my summary of their chat.

achi: bumili na ba kayo ng fruit juicer?
shoti: yup
achi: paano mo nilagay yung carrot sa juicer?
shoti: you top it, tail it, wash it, slice it, and then juice away!
~
whoa! my shoti is speaking to us in english. I know there's nothing wrong in speaking the language. It's just it's my shoti. We usually speak in tagalog and we're used to that. From that convesation alone, he is beginning to sound like a coñoboy. Hehe.

Yawn...sleepy
~
Wall climbing is tiring. I feel I lose my sense of touch. I can't hold my things properly, as if my hands are numb. But it's fun though. Not fun when you're on your way to the top, but when you're back on the ground, you'll think it's fun...hehehe.
~
Sleepy....my mind is not working anymore. Need to sleep. Gusto ko pa magsulat pro antok na ako.
